Age 

If your condensing boiler has standard maintenance, you can expect it to function about 15 years or more. Cast iron boilers can last a lot longer, even up to 50 years with proper maintenance. If your condensing boiler is close to 15 years or your cast iron boiler is coming up on 50 years, it may be time to think about an upgrade. 

Bills 

If your energy bills are rising or you’re having to call an expert about your boiler more repeatedly, it could be because it’s time to buy a new, more efficient boiler. 

Discoloration 

If you notice yellow flames on the gas burners and black soot on oil burners it could be a sign that the fuel is not burning adequately and could be generating carbon monoxide. If you notice these issues or have any concerns surrounding carbon monoxide in your home, you should call Bryant Heating & Cooling Service Experts or your gas company straightaway. 

Comfort 

If some of the sections in your home are too cool or too warm and you can’t seem to control them appropriately or get them comfortable, it could be that your boiler is no longer effective and you may need to look into upgrade choices.
