Many common things may create bad indoor air quality in your Windsor home.
This includes:
- Substances in [flooring, furniture and window treatments that emit fumes
- Cleaning sprays
- Paint
- Personal care products
- Air fresheners and candles
Though they are usually more efficient, modern homes don’t breathe the way older residences do. Tight weather stripping and storm doors keep interior air in and outside air out. This gives more energy savings, but the lowered exchange of outdoor and indoor air can cause pollutants accumulating indoors.
When this happens, a whole-house ventilation system is recommended. Ventilation systems exchange contaminated indoor air for fresher outdoor air without compromising energy savings.
